About the Role
About the role
You will own backend services that move real freight data. You design the schema, you write the service, and you keep it alive in production.
We are a small team, so you will also review other people's code and take part in on-call, one week in four.
Fully remote
Work from anywhere in India. Core overlap hours are 11 AM to 5 PM. The rest is up to you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build REST and event driven services in Node and TypeScript
- Design PostgreSQL schemas and write efficient queries
- Write tests for every service you own
- Set up monitoring and alerts for your services
- Review pull requests from the rest of the team
- Take part in the on-call rotation, one week in four
Requirements
- Three to six years of backend development
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript
- You can design a normalised PostgreSQL schema and explain your choices
- Experience with a queue such as Redis, SQS or Kafka
- You have run something in production and fixed it at 2 AM
