About the Role
About the role
You will join a team of six that builds internal tools for logistics clients. You will pick up small tickets in week one and full features by month three.
Every junior developer gets a senior mentor for the first six months. You have a code review on every pull request. Nobody expects you to know everything on day one.
Our stack
React and TypeScript on the front end. Node and PostgreSQL on the back end. We deploy on AWS. Everything sits in Git and we ship twice a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Build front end screens in React and TypeScript from a Figma design
- Write and test simple REST endpoints in Node
- Fix bugs reported by the support team and add a test for each fix
- Take part in code review, both giving and receiving comments
- Write short notes for every feature you ship
- Join the daily fifteen minute stand-up
Requirements
- Zero to two years of experience, or a strong project portfolio
- You know JavaScript well and you have used React
- Basic SQL, you can write a join
- You use Git without help
- You ask questions early instead of getting stuck for two days
